Remote Work is the hottest topic in Global Mobility today. Countless CEOs have come out either strongly in favour of Remote Work or strongly opposed. But what is the market actually doing, and how are the lived experiences of mobility professionals?
Airbnb Remote Work Announcement
Following the announcement, it was claimed that over 800k people flocked to the Airbnb careers page. With such reach and impact, this is clearly a topic that is a high priority for all companies with an urgent need to assess the impact on their mobility approach and how this ties in with their wider talent strategy.
More so than any other topic, the huge growth in the employee expectations to work remotely has driven mobility to be strategic partners and the subject matter experts for companies.
Remote Work Benchmark Report: Updated August 2022
This updated Benchmark Report is based on data from over 68 participating companies who shared their current approach to temporary remote work, and how it compares to the Airbnb policy announced in April 2022 which came into effect on 1 June 2022. It aims to further support conversations similar to the Benivo Insights available on our platform for employees, informing companies, with supporting data, on how others are dealing with the challenges raised.
In addition to the Airbnb example which formed the basis of our original discussion, multiple other companies have also chosen to advertise their remote work strategies and are clearly using this as a talent attraction tool. A recent survey by John Lee from the Work from Anywhere team has consolidated this information in addition to rating how they compare.
